Making a Difference One Step at a Time!

Did you know that 60% of kids in Collier and Lee Counties are designated “economically needy”? This means that children are unable to access the resources needed to live well and thrive. As advocates for the safety and wellness of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors, we at Regency Insurance Group are ready to tackle this issue head-on. For the next three months, we will be working with Laces of Love, a non-profit that shares our same vision of bringing awareness to the needs of low-income and disadvantaged children.

When Jeanna and Mary discovered the challenges faced by many families in our community, many unable to afford a new pair of shoes for their kids, they knew they had an opportunity to positively impact the lives of the underprivileged families. The two sisters immediately sprung into action, and the Laces and Love organization was born. They began by collecting and delivering new shoes to kids at local schools. Since opening its doors, Laces of Love has helped distribute over 200,000 new shoes to children throughout Southwest Florida.

Laces of Love operates with no paid staff and relies 100% on its volunteers to keep operations running smoothly. There are several opportunities available to individuals eager to give back to their community, including speaking engagements, Shoe Drives, and Shoe Parties to help many needy children get back on their feet and moving towards a bright future!
